Who are Triniteq?

The Beginnings & Our Purpose


Starting out
Founded in 1997, Triniteq has evolved to consistently deliver world-class POS and business automation solutions that save customers time and money. With 20 years under our belts, we know a thing or two about business. Starting out in Perth with in-house developed POS software loaded on quality hardware and installed by specialist technicians, we have continually invested in our core business applications to stay ahead of our customers' needs, across Australia.

Inventing the first Waiterpad
In 2000, our then Chief Research Officer, James Vote, invented the very first Waiterpad, finally getting the unit working over radio frequency at 2am one night in his living room. Since then, the Waiterpad and other mobile ordering devices continue to increase in popularity throughout the hospitality industry and the name 'Waiterpad', also invented by Triniteq, is now synonymous with mobile ordering devices worldwide.


Really helping hospitality & retail 
Most of our staff come from hospitality and retail backgrounds so we have experience in the day-to-day running of busy businesses and understand the importance of the systems that support them. Our Managing Director Shaun Munro (pictured on the left) is a trained chef and running his own restaurant has provided him with a solid foundation in hospitality management, and an understanding of what businesses need to succeed.
