Now Book was developed in consultation with hospitality professionals to provide a reservations package that charges a flat fee per month (instead of the per booking model charged by other systems) and enables venues to exclusively keep and use their own customer data.

 The benefits of integrating your POS with Opera include 

  • Using our full suite of POS products in on-site restaurants.
  • Automate processes by charging restaurant and incidental orders straight to the guest’s room bill.
  • Simplifying your guest's stay by reducing friction at certain touchpoints.
  • POS and PMS working together to provide the best experience possible for the guest.

How does it integrate with your POS?

Charge codes are mapped from the POS to Opera Cloud PMS to connect the 2 systems. When a guest dines in the restaurant or has drinks at the bar, the bill can be transferred to the guest’s room bill by using Room Search and Room Charge on the POS. Once the bill is charged to the room, the bill is closed and moved off the POS.

 This integration also allows users to 

  • Apply credit limits to a guest’s room bill.
  • Part-charge a bill. For example two guests want to split a bill, so we can charge our hotel guest’s items to their room bill, and the other customer pays by card.
